I don’t know of many in the European countries. There were Rose and Ed West, sexually sadistic torture-murderers that had a couple of daughters and buried the bodies under the flagstones in the backyard. I think there was a strangler in London, as well, though I can’t for the life of me remember his name.
In America, there are some very famous ones. Jeffrey Dahmer, for example, also a sadistic serial killer. He wanted to create his very own small army of mindless sex-slaves. If you ever listen to his testimony, he actually says he wanted to make them into zombies. He would kidnap men under various pretenses, have sex with them, kill them, and sometimes cannibalize them. In one particularly memorable story, he drilled a hole in one of his ‘zombie’s’ head, and poured bleach into his skull. While the man was still alive.
Also from America (Wichita, Kansas) was Dennis Rader, aka ‘BTK’. It stood for bind them, torture them, kill them. Incredibly sociopathic. He killed about 60 people, including several families, over the period of 30 years. He had a tendency to rape women before killing them. Again, if you ever listen to his testimony (he pleaded guilty), he admits to doing these terrible things with such calm surity that it’s creepy as all hell in a hand basket.
In Australia, there was the Backpack Killer, that lured backpackers in and killed them. There was also Belle Gunness (1800s) that killed possibly dozens with strychnine, set her house on fire, thus faking her own death, and disappeared with hardly a trace. There’s John Wayne Gacy (The "Killer Clown") who was recently died. A hitchhiking woman killed everyone that picked her up a while back. They made it into a move with Charlize Theron. I’m told that the movie is good. David Berkowitz "Son of Sam" was told by his neighbor’s ‘evil’ dog to shoot and kill several couples. He was probably schizophrenic.

How do you deal with someone who has a superiority complex?
This is someone who I have to deal with every day, my roommate. Treats others unfairly (gets much more angry at something I would let go if he did it to me), selfish, corrects others whether or not they are wrong, thinks people who dont get his jokes are stupid (instead of thinking, "oh i must just be wierd") etc. Anyways, what should I do about this person besides move out, because I would rather solve the problem than run from the symptoms, and he is my best friend, too. How should I speak to such a person? How do I get through to him?

If I were you’d I’d be really mean to him and outwit him intellectually. Normally that puts a lot of people in their place. Other than this, I would suggest you tell him straight out that you and everyone you know think hes a prick and needs to get over himself.

In my opinion, you could bring home a couple of your close friends for a good two hours or so you regularly talk to, and inform them to talk great things about you before they come over and make sure your roommate’s there at that time, and that way, atleast your roommate will realize that you’re someone who can’t be treated unfairly and the very next time, he’d probably think twice before saying anything to you.

I don't know if I have a coldsore or not?
As a regular coldsore sufferer, I panicked when I felt a small bump and tingle in the corner of my lips.

I ran home as soon as I could and applied an ice-cube to it, as I read that doing this early on can actually drive the virus back into it’s domant state. The bump was tiny at this point.

Then I put some surgical spirit on it.

Later on in the day I used zovirax cream. then for bed I put a compeed patch on.

Today I’ve used zovirax, a patch and even taken 500mg lysine tablet.

Whats weird though is that I can’t actually see any coldsore. There’s been no swelling or pussing at all.

Have I conquered it or was it a false alarm?

Does this mean I can kiss my bf tomorrow?!

RV (2006) IMDB rating: 5.50 Plot: Bob Munro is the dad of a dysfunctional family. He hires an RV to take the family on vacation. However Bob is NOT the best RV steering wheel operator in the neighborhood and the hilarity is added on by the fact that the brakes are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Bob first realizes it when the RV rolls (not literally) backwards into a line of shopping carts. Also Bob’s job is in danger if he doesn’t go to a very important meeting. Before you can say “COME BACK! COME BACK!,” things go gloriously, hilariously, Munro-annoyingly wrong due to the lack of brakes, Bob’s job, toilet waste not cleared out from the last rental and more hilarious stuff.

The discount rate is mostly symbolic and really won’t affect your situation.

Floating your rate is very VERY risky right now. Of course with the loan close so far out, you won’t really be able to find a lender that will lock that far ahead.

With all the chaos going on in the market, I’ve seen rates on some loans (a 5 year fixed ARM for example) go from 6% to 6.625% in the last 2 weeks. Jumbo (loans above $417,000) have gone from 6.75% to 8% in the last 2 weeks.

Rates normally follow the 10 year treasury bonds pretty closely. What affects the bonds also affects the rates. However, we’ve seen the opposite happen over the last 2 weeks. Rates are skyrocketing due to the liquidity crisis and are not tracking the bond market at all. The reason is supply and demand. There is still healthy (but diminishing) demand in the market for loans, but the supply of money to lend has really retracted. That means the investors (few loans actually are given by traditional banks now days) are asking for increased interest rates to even consider lending the cash they have. So many have picked up their toys and left that the few still playing are able to demand much more interest.

Anyone else think the loch ness monster is a joke?
I saw a documentary on it a couple of years ago, and while it was completely unbiased, it left no doubt in my mind that the loch ness monster isn’t real.

The documentary showed how easily sticks and rocks in the water can be mistaken for humps or a head. It showed a number of hoaxes that were believed by many, but later found out to be fraud.

It also said that if the loch ness was a plesiosaur, as described, then it would need air, and would surface every few hours, meaning there would be far more sightings.

Not to mention all the searches that have been done and found nothing.

Isn’t it a bit convenient all these idiot locals see the monster when no one is around, yet when they actually look for it there’s no trace? T

here’s so much evidence against it, I can’t help but feel the only people who believe in it are idiots.
