Most of the people are accustomed to giving by putting their receiver on the receipient side. There is also another way of giving and that is by allowing others to feel like Givers themselves. But if one understands the Essence of Giving, they would know that Giving is all about inspiring happiness in any person. Even in any organization, the logic of inspiring the Team Spirit in the members centres around the idea that when people are made to realize that there is an effective Giver in them, their efficiency levels really shoot up. Thus, we can GIVE even while receiving if we express our GRATITUDE to the giver making him or her realize that they made an effective impact on our lives.

You’ve made my day as an acceptor. I have been able to ‘give’ only a very few times, and mostly to people whom I am totally unrelated to.

I can see what you’re saying. I agree, and think it’s a great path for giving: getting others to realize that they too are givers. Gratitude –to me– is very important to express because I think human-beings don’t always realize the many ways they give, and the act of expressing gratitude brings the act of the giver to the surface. Sometimes we simply don’t realize the impact we have on other people.
