I want to be a teen babysitter but i live in UK! Parents what do you expect from a teen babysitter?
1.) WOULD YOU LET A 13YR OLD BABYSIT YOUR CHILDREN?
2.) WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT FROM THEM?
3.) HOW MUCH WOULD YOU PAY THEM (IN UK POUNDS IF POSSIBLE PLEASE)
4.) WOULD YOUR BABYSITTER HAVE TO HAVE A CPR/ BABYSITTING COURSE. OR WOULD IT BE AN EXTRA.
5.) AND ANYMORE TIPS
Or if you live in the UK how old were you when you started babysitting? And if you live in the UK answer these questions please!
Sorry I wouldn’t allow a 13 year old to babysit my children.

I did baby sit, but only for my next door neighbors, because i knew them well, at the age of 13, i would also take there kids out, but to baby sit, maybe wait a few more years.
Its not an easy job.

1.) WOULD YOU LET A 13YR OLD BABYSIT YOUR CHILDREN?
Not alone, no. I would let you come over to entertain my kids while I was busy doing housework, or perhaps sit with them while I nipped out to the shops tho.
2.) WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT FROM THEM?
I’d expect you to be patient and understanding towards them, to know what a childs basic need are, (like, to know what to do if a child is crying and how to give them what they need)
3.) HOW MUCH WOULD YOU PAY THEM (IN UK POUNDS IF POSSIBLE PLEASE)
?3 or ?4 an hour
4.) WOULD YOUR BABYSITTER HAVE TO HAVE A CPR/ BABYSITTING COURSE. OR WOULD IT BE AN EXTRA
It would be handy if you knew basic first aid, and how to remain calm in an emergency..
5.) AND ANYMORE TIPS
13 is a little young to be left alone with children for an extended period of time. You could try asking to take younger kids out to your local park or sit in with them while their mum gets on with some much needed housework to gain experience. Once you turn about 16/17 I would consider you to be old enough to watch them over night or for a few hours alone. But I would also take in to account how mature and responsible you are, and how patient with difficult children you are. (I have a son with ADHD who likes try and push peoples buttons lol)
